It is no secret that landscaping improvements add value to your property and quality of life.
Do you have a large landscaping project that you would like to tackle? Have no clue on where to start? We are happy to go over this with you and provide you a full quote on the scope of work.
Besides the bottom line cost, which we understand is important, there are some other factors to consider when looking at a large scale landscape project.
Let us offer you an example of a large back yard landscaping project that was just completed in Sandy, Utah. The task seemed simple, turn the back yard into something desirable with a reasonable cost for the homeowner to have the ability to better offer their home on the real estate market.
As a landscaper we have to look at all phases of the project, which play into the dollar bottom line, but we want to make sure it is done properly to provide the best landscaping services. This includes thorough planning and using quality landscape materials.
1. Sprinkler system - for new sod you have to have irrigation to to be able to get the sod to take root. With this existing property there was a sprinkler system in the front yard so we had to tie into this, and then scale it for the larger back yard. From the sprinkler timer we wanted it all to work in unison.
2. Demo - this yard was filled with debris. For the overall look we had to remove debris and grade with a skid-steer. The debris has to go somewhere so it needs to be moved to lower spots or taken from the property in a dumpster.
3. Sod installation - Kentucky blue grass is the preferred grass in Salt Lake County. We needed to bring in quality topsoil over the grading. Once it was ready the sod was planted and a strategic watering program was implemented to provide the grass with the water it needs to take.
